The building jig for this boat is straight forward, the materials are readily available and
the building plans are the kind of quality that you have come to expect from Sandy
Point Boat Works. As you can see from the pictures below, the frames are temporarily

If you are looking to get your project off the ground fast

I have put together the Epoxy kit that I use during the building of these boats on the videos and have
made them available here for your convenience. These kits have the hardener, the right resin for
laying up glass cloth, the thickening agent for your gluing needs as well as calibrated pumps for
measuring the hardeners and LV resin. Choose the right kit for your working environment.

simple Mahogany plywood over a frame. The
decking and seat finishing is limited only by your
imagination. The traditional look is that of a high
gloss finish over Mahogany, but they can be
painted stained or indigenous woods like Cyprus,
teak or cherry from your area can be used. One of
the biggest bonuses of building your own runabout
is making it your own.
The plans take you from start to finish. This boat
was also designed to take an outboard engine so
dropping a 25 to 40 horsepower turns this hull into
a stable fast day of fun.
